VILE exploring The Swamp

Regions & Features (blueprints)

The Swamp: A Living World

The Swamp is the heart and soul of this world, a vast and unending wilderness that defies ordinary comprehension. It is ever-shifting, a place where time and space are unreliable, and where the land itself seems to breathe. Its geography is defined not by physical boundaries but by the energies of HeartDreamGraft, and Desire that flow through those who traverse it. The Swamp is alive, and its mists, currents, and spirits move to a rhythm that only the attuned can perceive.

Navigating the Swamp

Maps of the Swamp are not static documents but living tools tied to the person who creates them. The Dream and Heart of the mapmaker define its reliability, while Desire and Graft determine how effectively it can be used. Yet no map is permanent, as the Swamp itself resists being pinned down.

Travelers often rely on their soul’s resonance to guide them. This resonance, affected by their Tones and the spiritual entities they encounter, creates an internal compass. Geas and spirits further complicate navigation, as they might lead travellers toward hidden truths, or into traps.
